At Thirlmere Pegasus our team of trained educators deliver a daily program based off the Early Years Learning Framework and the children’s ever changing interests.

Learning outcomes, mind crafting milestones, as well as group and individual observations of children, are documented in various manners. This ensures that our staff at Pegasus are taking a holistic approach to your child’s development and are extending their skills and abilities in meaningful, fun and engaging ways. Our staff at Pegasus will be in touch with you for information and feedback regarding your child’s interests and needs plus your aspirations regarding your child’s learning.

Our centre offers a safe, home like environment that supports the individual needs of families based on open communication. The children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development is fostered through a challenging, stimulating, anti bias program with a focus on learning through play and exploration that the staff develop based on the needs of each individual child.

The Aim of Thirlmere Pegasus Early Education Centre is to provide high-quality early childhood education to children in a warm, happy, stimulating environment where children can grow and learn. We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to be as ready and prepared for the Kindergarten classroom as they can be, through a program that encourages children to learn through play and exploration. We feel that the environment should empower every child to be a capable and resourceful learner.

Our Early Education Centre opens at 6:30am to 6:30pm. The centre is open for 52 weeks of the year and closes for public holidays. We have a staff of trained educators who deliver a daily program based off the Early Years Learning Framework and the children’s everchanging interests.

As part of our commitment to families, we will also provide an After School Care Service with a trained after school care teacher for families of our pre-school children. This will be a Small group of 20 children in Before and After School Care. We will provide interesting and fun activities to children aged 5-12 years of age. Home readers and homework can also be completed at the parents’ request. Please ask for an After School Care Information Booklet and Enrolment Form at our office.

Supervisor profile

natasha wiggins

Since starting my journey in the early childcare industry I have completed a Diploma of Children's services graduating back in 2014 and have brought with me 12 years experience working within various leadership roles. My passions within my roles has always been about building connections with children, families and the community, developing quality inclusive practices, leading teams with compassion and enthusiasm and giving children the opportunities to connect with their natural world has always been at the basis for my own personal philosophy in life.

I have a wonderful 4 year old daughter who constantly keeps me on my toes in the best possible way ever with her charismatic and adventurous personality we have cherished many amazing memories together. Becoming a mother myself has definitely given me a different perspective on how children grow and develop individually with their own challenges, passion and ideas for their own educational journey. Building a solid foundation to identify and work with children to support them individually has always been my main priority. By collaborating with children and their families we create positive impacts and support curiosity for the future leaders of our world.

I am very excited to work alongside the incredible team at Pegasus preschool Thirlmere continuing to creating a warm and harmonious environment as I look forward to meeting and supporting the children and their families of the service.
