supervisor profile

caitlin kozlowski

I have been with Pegasus since 2008, completing my Certificate Three in Early Education and Care through a traineeship, moving on to complete my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and then the final stage- completing a Bachelor of Education (0-12year) at Macquarie university. Whilst being at Thirlmere Pegasus (since the very first day it opened) I worked alongside Melanie in the 3–5-year-old room, progressing to room leader before becoming 2IC.

Having been a part of the Pegasus family for the past 17 years, it has allowed my knowledge on the early childhood sector to grow and develop as well as my own personal philosophy. My philosophy is to ensure that each child is provided with an inclusive learning environment that offers them a sense of being, belonging and becoming yet offers challenges and an opportunity to explore through nature play and interest based. After being with Pegasus for several years, I have found that my personal philosophy has become very similar to the whole centre philosophy- allowing for a harmonious atmosphere.

I was thrilled to be offered the role of Nominated Supervisor at Pegasus on Victoria and have only continued to grow and develop as an educator and in my leadership role as well. I have a strong passion for providing quality care and education to children of all ages and supporting children and families through the starting foundation of their education journey. I feel honoured to have the opportunity to collaborate with children and their families as we create positive perspectives and memories of how joyous learning and discovery can be, as well as being a mentor and guiding the educators at the service. As a mother of 2 boys, I understand that having trust and strong partnerships with your child’s educators and the care setting is paramount in creating the initial base for the amazing opportunities that lay ahead of your children.

I look forward to providing a warm, safe environment for the children and always welcoming existing and new families to the service!
